System Overview
55
•
Do not enter identical lot numbers for R1 and R2 user-defined reagent
wedges.
•
Cal Status is the status of the calibration. The calibration can pass, fail, or be
restored.
•
QC status is the status of the QC. The QC status can display as OK (green),
warning (yellow), or error (red). When control samples are run, results are sent to
ADVIA QC. You can set up rules for your laboratory in ADVIA QC to flag a
control sample when it is out of range. When a control sample is out of range,
ADVIA QC alerts the system that the controls of the test are out of range. If the
feature is enabled, the system automatically stops running the test until a new
control is run in range.
NOTE:
If you turn ADVIA QC off and then turn it back on, the QC Status column will
not display the status
for the previously run tests. You need to rerun QC for the QC
Status column to display the QC
status.
1.
To run a test even if it is out of range, double-select the test in the QC status fields.
2.
Select the checkbox.
3.
Select OK.
The test displays as OK (green).
NOTE:
The system response to an error can be customized.
•
The Days Remaining is the number of days remaining until the end of on-system
stability for a method.
Executing a Barcode Scan
1.
Check that the analyzer is in READY mode and that the barcode reader is turned on.
2.
Select Barcode Scan.
3.
The Read the Reagent Barcode? message displays.
4.
To execute a barcode scan, select
Yes
.
The barcode readers on RTT1 and RTT2 scan all positions for each reagent tray and sense
the
liquid level in each container to determine the volume.
When the Barcode Scan is complete, all information at the Reagent Inventory window
refreshes
automatically.
Deselecting a Reagent
NOTE:
If you deselect a reagent container while the system is running, the deselect does
not take effect until the system returns to the READY state. If you deselect a reagent pack
that is part of a pair, a warning message displays, indicating that both packs must be
deselected; otherwise, re-pairing occurs with another reagent pack, if one is available.
1. To deactivate a reagent container, select the Deselect checkbox next to the applicable
Test Name.
When the Deselect box is checked, the system cannot use the reagent. The Test Name is
red. The P/B field clears and if more than one of the same reagent is on the reagent trays,
the deselected
reagent is no longer part of the reagent ranking process.
