Wireless settings

If required, you configure the Wireless Settings as follows:

Mode

 – If you have an Access Point, select 

Infrastructure

. Otherwise, select 

Ad Hoc

.

Authentication Type

 – Select the value used on your WLAN.

–

SSID

 – Enter the value used by your other wireless devices.

–

Domain

 – Select the domain to match your location.

–

Channel

 – For Ad Hoc mode, select the channel used by your other wireless 

devices.
(For Infrastructure mode, the Access Point determines the channel used.)

WLAN Encryption

To prevent your WLAN from unauthorised access, you should activate encryption on 
your WLAN. Depending on the security settings of the other components of your WLAN 
you choose one of the following encryption methods:

WEP 64-bit keys

u

WEP 128-bit keys

u

WPA-PSK encryption (recommended)

All components of a WLAN must have the same security settings (encryp-
tion method and keys).
