Supplementary information on components and variants:
Tripping characteristic C is recommended for applications
with high start-up current and power peaks. For a higher
degree of protection components with tripping
characteristic D are optionally available.
Depending on the case of installation and country-specific
regulations, different pole configurations may be required.
The recommended products refer to the household
applications. For systems with several charging stations the
MCBs of the 5SY4 and 5SY6 series are recommended,
which offer additional protection.
According to IEC 61851-1 , a 30mA RCCB Type A is
sufficient, due to the 6mA DC residual current monitoring
integrated in the wallbox. Local regulations may differ and
have to be considered.
The listed prouct recommendations refer to RCCBs with
instantaneous tripping. Components with delayed tripping
(variant KK01) are also suitable for installation in
households and offer an additional degree of robustness.
