Scope of Application

The RS485 fiber-optic converter allows the optical connection of up to 31 devices with an electrical, bus-
capable RS485 interface, to a fiber-optic connection that can lead to a star coupler, for example. The connec-
tion between the bay and the central control system can thus be established with optical fibers to be resistant
to interference. The RS485 fiber-optic converter in the 1-channel variant replaces the half-duplex RS485 fiber-
optic converter. The RS485 fiber-optic converter for asynchronous protocols (1-channel) 7XV5650-0CA00 can
be operated in a hybrid configuration with the previous model 7XV5650-0BA00.
