Replacing the EMS400S carrier controller
Note
Observe the following points:

Warranty
The carrier controller is subject to the warranty. Within the warranty period, authorized
technical personnel may carry out the tasks specified in the following chapters to replace
specific modules of the carrier controller.

Repairs
Make all repairs so that the components of the carrier controller are not damaged.
•
Mounting hooks of the carrier controller
Do not remove the mounting hooks that are attached to the side panels of the carrier
controller.
Requirement

The EMS carrier is powered off.

1 key for the front panel lock
Procedure
DANGER
Electrical accident through contact
The RAIL contact conductors are connected to 48 V AC, while the L1, L2 and L3 contact
conductors are operated on a voltage of 400/500 V AC. Contact with components carrying
these live voltages poses the risk of an electrical accident. Such an accident may lead to
injury or even death.
Always adhere to the necessary safety measures taken for the respective electrical system
components.
Note
When working in and on electrical systems, you should always observe the specifications in
section "Safety instructions (Page 15)".
Removal
1.
Remove the connectors from all interfaces of the carrier controller.
Read the information provided in chapters "Wiring information (Page 19)" and "Preparing

Remove the bracket at the fastening hooks of the carrier controller.
