For the telemetry element shown in the following diagram, no trigger has been defined for
a digital signal (Trigger =
None
).
Fig. 32: Telemetry element for transmission of all sensor data to the cloud
•
The TDC device will not transmit the received signal values immediately. Instead, it and
will initially store them for the specified period. All values recorded within that period
will subsequently be transmitted to the server.
•
In the example shown, the signal values will be transmitted every 3,600 seconds.
In the following example, three telemetry elements have been set up for one interface.
Fig. 33: Telemetry elements for triggering, real-time alarms, and activating outputs
•
In order to avoid all of the signal values always being transmitted to the server, a trigger
has been defined in the first telemetry element. This ensures that the recorded signal
values are only transmitted once a certain condition has been met. In the example
shown, the transmission is linked to a change in the signal values (Trigger =
On Change
).
This means that the transmission will be triggered as soon as there is a change in the
signal values – regardless of the time frame set.
Owing to the large volume of data, this will lay the foundations for meaningful
monitoring in the cloud. Occuring anomalies can be identified sooner.
