Checking/replacing the desiccant cartridge

Fig. 17: Receiver unit screws

Separate the MCS300P Ex from the main power supply using the external main power
switch.

In Ex zones:

Wait 15 minutes after switching the main power supply off before opening

the enclosure.

Unscrew the 4 screws (5 mm Allen key) of the receiver unit.

Open the cover.

: Desiccant cartridge is dry and OK.

When the desiccant cartridge is

pink

: Desiccant cartridge is damp.

Renew the desiccant cartridge.

Replace the desiccant cartridge:
a) Unscrew the desiccant cartridge with the key.
b) Screw in the new desiccant cartridge.
