Mounting the LMS Axle
4.2.4.1
Noting serial numbers of the 2D LiDAR sensors of the LMS Axle
When using the Axle Detector system function, you must generally note the serial
numbers of the LMS Axle, regardless of whether the measurement site has one or two
LMS Axle units.
This information is required during commissioning when manually assigning the devices
to the system functions in TEMS Manager.
Fig. 73: Mounting the LMS Axle – noting serial numbers of the 2D LiDAR sensors
Note which component has which serial number and mark the LMS Axle accordingly so
that it can be mounted at the right place.
4.2.4.2
Mounting the LMS Axle
The LMS Axle is mounted on the side on the edge of the lane. The laser beam must be
emitted at a right angle to the lane. The connections should usually point in the direction
of travel.
