Connecting via the AMS 50 connection module
The units of the ISD 260 or ISD 280 can also be connected to the supply voltage and the
function interfaces via the AMS 50 connection module.
Ø
Configure the data interface of the unit (interface type and data transfer rate) as
described in
Chapter 5.2.3, Page 33
. For this purpose, the rear panel of the unit must
be removed and remounted as described.
Ø
Connect the data interface of the unit to the host/bus directly via the 9-pin D Sub
socket as shown in
Table 5-10, Page 35
.
Ø
Contrary to the information provided in the AMV/AMS 50 Operating Instructions:
Connect the supply voltage and the function interfaces of the unit to terminals 12 to 18
on the AMS 50 using the cable no. 6 010 474 (see
Table 5-9, Page 35
). An overview is
shown in
Fig. 5-18
and the wiring arrangement in
Fig. 5-19
. The position of the jumpers
in the AMS 50 is not relevant.
Ø
Apply the shield on both sides.
