Standby
Function
The “Standby” condition can be used if you wish to interrupt measurement selectively or if
the sample gas should temporarily not be supplied to the EuroFID. In comparison to
shutting down the device, the “Standby” status subjects the measuring system to less
strain, as all components remain at operating temperature and it is quicker to resume
measurement mode.
“Standby” mode entails the following:
– The sample gas supply is switched over internally to instrument air, i.e. the measuring
system is continuously purged with zero gas.
– The fuel gas supply to the FID is internally interrupted, the FID flame extinguished.
– The “Measured value valid” status output is deactivated.
– The “OK” LED does not light up.
– The ejector pump and the heater of the sensor block remain in operation.
Procedure
1 Open the menu: Main menu


2 Press or .

The selection box is highlighted.
3 P r e s s until the required number is displayed
( < Y E S > or < N O > ).
4 Press or .

< E n d > is highlighted.
5 Press .
➝
The EuroFID switches to the selected condition. (After switchover from Y E S to
N O , the FID flame is automatically ignited.)
➝
The “Maintenance” menu is displayed ( → P. 102, §11.1 ).
