9.3.2

Connecting to the MCUDH Ex-3K control unit via Ethernet

Recommended procedure:

Establish electrical connections (

see “Communication options”, page 62

Option 2, 4 or

5).

Configure the Ethernet module using the manufacturer software and note the IP
address.

Connect the laptop/PC with the Ethernet module.

Connect the switched-off control unit to the network cable (LAN).

Switch control unit on.

Start SOPAS ET.

“Search settings”

“Search by interface”

Make the settings:
– Ethernet communication (always clicked)
– USB communication (always clicked)
– Serial communication: Click

Enter the noted IP address.

A list of COM ports appears.
Specify the COM port of the DUSTHUNTER.
If you do not know the COM port:

see “Finding the DUSTHUNTER COM port”, page 86

Enter a name for this search if you want to save it.

Click “Finish”.
