Flow Chart
The menu structure of the DME5000 is displayed on the inside of the rear cover flap in the
form of a flow chart. Fold out this page for a better overview of the menu structure during
the following explanations.

Explanations on the Menu Structure
Code
Protection from unintentional changes to the set parameters.
Code: 314
Function:
Menu access and changing of the parameters: Confirm code 314 with
.
Successful input of the code is confirmed with a "!" in the display.
Parameter changes confirmed with
are stored active and nonvolatile at once.
During parameter change, the reflector must be within the field of view of the sensor. No
bus communication must be active. Bus address changes will only become active after
restarting the device.
If code input is skipped or a different figure is entered (than 314), the valid parameters are
displayed; they cannot be changed.
The option of viewing all parameters without the possibility of changing them makes it
easier, e.g., to have parameters requested and transmitted by untrained staff.
Software version
e.g. "Ver. 1.0"
Parameter
Depending on device version, the interface, multifunctional in/output MF1, output MF2,
resolution and an offset are set.
Resetting sets all parameters back to default.
For PROFIBUS devices, the parameters should not be set via the display when using the
gsd module "Class 2", because they are overwritten with the parameters stored in the
control unit when the PROFIBUS is restarted by the PROFIBUS master.
Exception: PROFIBUS address and offset with the preset function activated.
