Fault diagnosis
A3M60 Basic
This chapter describes how to identify and remedy errors and malfunctions during the
operation of the A3M60 Basic PROFIBUS Absolute Encoder.
WARNING

In the event of faults or errors
Cease operation if the cause of the malfunction has not been clearly identified!
Stop the machine if you cannot clearly identify or allocate the error and if you cannot safely
rectify the malfunction.

please contact your local SICK representative.

Diagnostics message
PROFIBUS provides diagnostics features that help you to locate a problem if the cause of
the error is unclear or if there are availability problems.
The diagnostics on the A3M60 Basic are based on the
channel-related diagnostics
model
. The diagnostics comprise three bytes per error that occurs.
