ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR DL3M AND DL3W
January 2013
The DL3 is a triangular glass cabinet that is designed to be placed in a corner. It
comes with either a wooden back or a mirror back. Sometimes it is also made with a
clear glass back.
It has adjustable shelves, and additional shelves can be purchased.
A lighting unit with two downlights is also available and this may be purchased
separately.
The box contains all the parts necessary for its assembly including tools.
ASSEMBLY
This cabinet in comprised of three main panels – one panel for each of the three sides.
These three panels have their glass pre-installed, so the only assembly required is to
slide the panels together.
You will need twice the length of the cabinet to work with, so ensure you have plenty
of floor space around you.
It is suggested that, in general, this cabinet be assembled horizontally on the floor.
It is advisable to have two people put this cabinet together.
It can be easier to clean the glass before the cabinet is assembled.
1. After unpacking the box, place the panel with the glass doors face down. Face
down involves the door locks being towards the ground. It is advisable to place
something under the panel so the door locks are not taking all the weight. One
end of this door panel has feet on it – this is the bottom of the cabinet (Photo
1).
2. One of the other panels also has a leg, and the third panel has no legs at
either end. Take the panel with the other leg and slide it into the track of the
first panel from the top end of the panel with the doors. This necessitates
placing one panel end-on to the first one, at the appropriate angle (45°) (Photo
2). Make sure you have a second person to support the weight of this second
panel while the cabinet is being assembled. The tracks must be lined up for it
to slide easily. You may also need to further loosen the small black screws at
the bottom of each panel and/or the shelf supports in the frames for it to slide
easily (Photo 3).
