Connecting to TV with video cable
Move the VIDEO OUT SELECTOR switch to S-VIDEO/VIDEO.

Do not connect other equipment between the TV and this unit. If they are con-
nected via a VCR, pictures may be distorted.

You need the PAL-compliant TV to watch DVD/Video CDs recorded in PAL sys-
tem.
This unit has two sokets to output images in addition to the MONITOR OUT
(VIDEO)socket. To enjoy clearer DVD images, connect your TV to these
sokets.
MONITOR OUT (S-VIDEO)
socket:
Transmits the image signal by dividing it into the lu-
minance signal (Y) and the color signal (C) to real-
ize clearer images than the video output socket.
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
socket:
Directly transmits the image information, which is
composed of the luminance signal (Y) and the com-
ponent signal (PB, PR) to ensure the fidelity of co-
lour compared with the S1 video output coket.
