XIV USER MAINTENANCE

E. CLEANING THE DOCUMENT SENSOR, WHITE PLATE AND

DOCUMENT FEED ROLLERS

If the document sensor, white plate, and/or document feed rollers are dirty, the

quality of the transmission image and copy becomes degraded.
Clean these parts frequently with the following procedure.

1. Pull the control compartment open knob

upward and open the control panel.

2. Wipe clean the document sensor, docu-

ment feed rollers and white plate with a
soft, dry cloth.

3. Close the control panel with pushing its

front sides (right and left) softly.
