Chapter 5: Email & Messages
Use
Messages
app to send and receive text and multimedia messages. Use
Gmail
app
to send and receive email messages using your Internet email accounts.
5.1 Text Message
A text message can only contain letters, numbers, and symbols.
Create and Send Text Messages
1. Tap
Home screen

Start chat

3. In the
To
field, enter the recipient’s phone number.
TIP:
To add recipients from
Contacts
, swipe up or
down on the screen to scroll the contacts list
and select contact(s).
4. Compose your message.
5. Tap to send your message.

OTE:
• If you close
Messaging
app before sending
your message, the unsent message will be
automatically saved as a draft.
• You can also send text message through
Contacts
and
Phone
Communicating with Contacts” on page 23 and
“4.5 Call Log” on page 32 respectively.
Receive and Manage Messages
When you send and receive messages from a contact, these messages are grouped
as a message thread. A message thread looks like an exchanged conversation.
