Operating Instructions – MOVIFIT

®

-FC

6.1.1

Wiring notes for connecting the motor

• Motor phases U, V, and W must be connected correctly in accordance with the motor

connection terminals in MOVIFIT

®

. This ensures that the motor rotates in the correct

direction. The motor and the temperature sensors must be connected to terminals
X8 and X81.

6.1.2

Wiring notes for brakes

• Brakes with voltages less than 40 V cannot be used in connection with MOVIFIT

®

-

FC.

• For operating SEW motors with a brake, the brake can be connected to the terminals

in MOVIFIT

®

, which are provided for the SEW brake, without any further measures

(do not use a brake rectifier). This requires connecting an SEW brake for a voltage
of 110 V, 120 V, 230 V, or 400 V.

• The digital output DB00 on MOVIFIT

®

 is available for operating non-SEW motors

with a brake. These outputs can be used to control non-SEW brake(s) using appro-
priate additional measures (e.g. brake rectifier).

DANGER

Incorrect connection will cause incorrect motor rotation and/or uncontrolled motor
startup.
Severe or fatal injuries
• Check the wiring before starting the motor.

DANGER

If you use binary output DB00 to control the brake, do not change the parameters of
the binary output functions.
Severe or fatal injuries
• Before using the binary output for controlling the brake, check the parameter

settings.
