PROFIBUS via M12 plug connectors

INFORMATION

This example is valid for ABOXes with PROFIBUS plug connectors.

The following figure shows the basic connection topology for PROFIBUS via M12 plug
connectors:

• For the PROFIBUS connection, the ABOXes have M12 plug connectors. They

comply with the recommendations of PROFIBUS directive no. 2.141 "Connection
technology for PROFIBUS".

• To prevent malfunctions in the bus system due to reflections, etc., the PROFIBUS

segment must be terminated using bus terminating resistors at the first and last
stations.

• The bus terminating resistors are already installed in the MOVIFIT

ABOX and they

can be activated using the S1 switch.
