General Notes

Right to claim under warranty

You must observe this manual as the prerequisite for fault-free operation and fulfillment
of any right to claim under warranty. Therefore, read the documentation before you start
working with the software and the connected units from SEW-EURODRIVE.
Make sure that the documentation is available to persons responsible for the system and
its operation as well as to persons who work independently on the unit. You must also
ensure that the documentation is legible.

Exclusion of liability

You must observe this manual and the documentation of the connected units from SEW-
EURODRIVE to ensure safe operation and to achieve the specified product character-
istics and performance requirements. SEW-EURODRIVE assumes no liability for injury
to persons or damage to equipment or property resulting from non-observance of these
operating instructions. In such cases, any liability for defects is excluded.
SEW-EURODRIVE guarantees that the software is free from deficiencies in title, and
that it can be used for the purposes for which it is intended. Beyond this, there is no guar-
antee for technical details or suitability for a certain purpose.
SEW-EURODRIVE will not be liable for damage, delays or impediments to performance
beyond our area of responsibility or for damage as a result of inappropriate, improper or
unintended use of the software.
