set “NC”, normally closed. This may be changed to “NO”, normally open with dip
switches marked “Rel ‘x’ NC/NO” on the AUX board.

Note that external relays connected to the instrument may induce current or
voltages that exceed the above ratings. If in doubt external protection diodes must
be implemented to protect the internal instrument relays.

The PLC/PLS  (Programmable Logic Controller) 4-20 mA outputs are of ACTIVE
type and isolated electrically from the electronics unit’s electronics. Maximum load
is 500

There are up to 3 different 4-20 mA outputs available. Per default only the outputs
for gas concentration are implemented.

For single gas instrument the outputs are configured as follows:

PLC1

 – output for gas concentration,

PLC2

 – optional output for transmission (4mA=0%, 20mA=100% transmission),

PLC3

 – not used.

For dual gas instrument the outputs are configured as follows:

PLC1

 – output for gas-1 concentration,

PLC2

 – output for gas-2 concentration,

PLC3

 – optional output for transmission (4mA=0%, 20mA=100% transmission).

For instrument measuring gas and temperature the outputs are configured as
follows:

PLC1

 – output for gas concentration,

PLC2

 – output for spectral temperature,

PLC3

 – optional output for transmission (4mA=0%, 20mA=100% transmission).
