TELE-KONTROL
This section explains the general steps to follow in order to control the analyser
through a local network or from the Internet.
STEP 1, Tele-Kontrol installation:
Insert the CD that is provided with the
analyser in your PC. Follow instructions to install the software.
STEP 1, the cable:
the first step is to connect the analyser to the local network. If
the analyser has the Ethernet connectivity option, connect a RJ45 cable from the
analyser rear panel to a router or a network hub.
STEP 2, the IP address:
then, the IP address of the analyser must be set. This
address could be, for example, 198.123.0.1. It corresponds to the address that is
used by Tele-Kontrol to access the analyser.
It is important to first know if your network works with DHCP. If so, activate the
DHCP in the Connectivity menu (refer to section 4.5) and restart the analyser
without the cable connected. Then, turn off the analyser, plug in the cable and
restart the analyser.
If your network does not have the DHCP option, you must set the IP address, the
mask and the Gateway manually. All these are network parameters. To set these
parameters in the analyser, go to the connectivity menu (section 4.5). When the
parameters are set, restart the analyser.
Contact your network administrator first for further help about your network
characteristics.
STEP 3, the router:
the analyzer now acts as a server over the network. If you
want to access it from outside the local network, the network router must allow
the IP address to be accessed from the Internet on TCP port 3076. Setting this
aspect refers to your router specifications.
