Using the DC power distribution system

In a typical DC power distribution system the power cable may be installed in
conduit above or below ground. The power cable may also be installed directly
on the fence (depending on local electrical codes).

•

To power the system from a central source, run the power distribution cable
around the perimeter and tap off to each processor.

Use a minimum of #14 gauge wire for power runs up to 1.2 km (4000 ft.). For
longer runs use #12 gauge wire.
