Instructions

1.  Prior to installation please consider the precautionary statements

and maximum transmission range stated below.

2.  Install the SS-TD10 Transmitter/Sensor (for detailed instructions

refer to the provided installation guide/manual for the SS-TD10)

3.  Install the SS-RC10 Receiver (refer to the system layout section on

page 2 of this manual and the manual included with the
SS-RC10 Receiver

Note: Resetting the basic LCD digital display is accomplished by swiping the magnetic tool (found on
the SenSource keychain) over the area marked “Reset” on the display box.

1. Outdoor

Use

 – Only the SS-TD10 sensor is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.  The SS-RC10 receiver

is not suitable for outdoor use.

2.  High Temperature, High humidity & Dirty Fumes

 – Do not expose the PC-PIR15 components to high

temperatures, rapid temperature changes, steam, high humidity, dirty fumes or oily smoke.

3. Light

 – Direct sunlight or automobile headlights may cause false alarms.

4. Obstruction

– Moving objects such as bushes or curtains may cause false alarms.

5.  Other Electric Devices

 – Use the PC-PIR15 components at least 3ft (1m) away from following devices: TV,

radio, personal computers, microwave oven, refrigerator, any device that has an electric motor (this may
cause malfunction).

6.  Transmission range may decrease under following conditions:

A steel door, steel reinforced concrete, or other metal obstructions between SS-TD10 sensor and the

SS-RC10 receiver.

Installing either the SS-TD10 or the SS-RC10 receiver on a metal surface.

Places near strong radio sources, such as a broadcast station or high power lines.

7. Impact/Shock

mild soap or detergent to clean.

1000 ft. (300m) – Open field, line of sight with no RF interference

Above measurement was made over level ground without obstruction or interference.  Natural or man-made
obstacles and other environmental factors can interfere with, or otherwise reduce, transmission range.  Please
use the information below as a reference for transmission performance.  Actual transmission range should be
tested prior to final mounting of components.

If RF is passing through stucco/plaster construction:

150ft

If RF is passing through reinforced concrete construction:
