Engine speed control
When the engine speed is more than the upper limit or when overheating or low oil pressure is
detected, the engine speed is controlled to prevent damage to the engine.
Engine speed control during over-revving
When the engine speed is 6200 r/min or more, control is performed by cutting off the power to the
ignition coil (ignition by the spark plug is stopped).
Engine speed control during overheating
When the engine cooling water temperature is 93 °C (199 °F) or more and the following engine
speed conditions are present, control will start by cutting off the power to the ignition coil (ignition by
the spark plugs is stopped) so that the engine speed does not increase to 2000 r/min or more.
During overheating control, the buzzer (remote control model) will sound and the alert indicator
(located on the bottom cowling and digital tachometer [optional]) will come on.
Engine speed control during low oil pressure
When the oil pressure is at or less than the specified pressure and the following engine speed con-
ditions are present, control will start by cutting off the power to the ignition coil (ignition by the spark
plugs is stopped) so that the engine speed does not increase to 2000 r/min or more.
During low oil pressure control, the buzzer (remote control model) will sound and the alert indicator
(located on the bottom cowling and digital tachometer [optional]) will come on.
