Rinsing the device
NOTE!
• Never operate the coff ee maker unfi lled, without water in the
water tank.
• Fill the water tank only with cold, fresh water. Hot or warm
water or other liquids can damage the device.
DANGER!
• The water tank should only be fi lled up to the mark ‘MAX’.
Never overfi ll the water tank! RISK OF SCALDING!
• Steam escapes the device which may cause scalding to un-
protected skin. During operation do not open the swing fi lter or
the cover of the water tank. RISK OF SCALDING!
1. Open the swing fi lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.
2. Make sure that the used paper fi lter has been removed from the swing fi lter (3) and is
disposed. Ensure that there are no coff ee residues in the swing fi lter (3).
3. Close the swing fi lter (3) until it snaps into place.
4. Fill the coff ee pot (5) with cold water.
5. Open the lid of the water tank (1) and pour the water into the water tank (2) up to the
mark ‘MAX’.
6. Close the lid of the water tank (2).
7. Place the coff ee pot (5) with closed lid onto the hot plate (6).
Ensure that the coff ee pot (5) is placed correctly under the outlet and that it presses up the
valve in the outlet.
8. Connect the device to the power supply.
9. Press the On/Off switch (4) to start the coff ee maker. The operation indicator lights up to
confi rm the start of operation.
10. Let the heated water fl ow into the coff ee pot (5) until the water tank (2) is empty.
11. Turn off the device by pressing the On/off switch (4). The operation indicator goes out.
12. Empty and clean the coff ee pot (5).
Descaling
1. Open the swing fi lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.
2. Make sure that the used paper fi lter has been removed from the swing fi lter (3) and is
disposed. Ensure that there are no coff ee residues in the swing fi lter (3).
3. Close the swing fi lter (3) until it snaps into place.
4. Fill the coff ee pot (5) with cold water.
5. Open the lid of the water tank (1) and pour the water into the water tank (2) up to the
mark ‘MAX’.
6. Add descaler (dosage according to instructions) or 80ml vinegar essence to the water in the
water tank (2).
7. Close the lid of the water tank (1).
8. Place the coff ee pot (5) with closed lid onto the hot plate (6). Ensure that the coff ee pot (5) is
placed correctly under the outlet and that it presses up the valve in the outlet.
9. Connect the device to the power supply.
