–
Xtreme Adapter
The Xtreme Adapter is used to reverse the handing from right to left on the Xtreme Series
Safe Lock. This Installation guide is a supplement to the SafeLogic Xtreme Installation
and Operation Instructions (Doc No. XU-EC1501A-X141107).
After completing steps in the SafeLogic Xtreme Installation and
Operation Instructions (Doc No. XU-EC1501AX141107) up
Section 2.0 Installing the DialRing, Step 8, continue with the
directions below:
Step 1: With the DialRing installed and the DialRing Mounting bolts
installed (See fig. 1), it is time to cut the clear plastic protective tube.
Cut the supplied clear plastic spindle tube (Part# TB-9/80-P) to a
length equal to Door Thi 1.25”, where the Door Thickness
or “DT” is the measurement from the Safe door outer surface (the
surface upon which the DialRing is to be mounted) to the lock body
mounting plate (the surface upon which the lock body is to be
mounted).
Step 2: Place the Xtreme Adapter on the lock mounting plate on
the inside of the safe door such that it engages properly with the
safe boltwork. See fig. 2.
Step 3: Gently pull on the 4-wire cable to ensure there is no excess
cable in the spindle hole and place the cable as shown in fig. 3.
Position 4-wire
cable
as shown above
fig.3
Step 4: Insert the clear plastic protective tube through the Xtreme
Adapter, into the Spindle hole until it engages with the DialRing.
The tube should extend approximately 1/4” beyond the outer edge
of the Xtreme Adapter. See fig. 4.
Step 5: Mount the Xtreme Lock Body on top of the Xtreme Adapter.
Be sure to align the installation holes so that the mounting bolts can
be inserted through the Xtreme Lock Body, the corresponding
mounting holes of the Xtreme Adapter and into the drilled and
tapped holes of the safe’s lock mounting plate. See fig. 5.
