2. APPLICATION
2.1 The filtering half mask SSP155DX has been approved according to EN149 as an FFP2S respirator.
When worn properly and given adequate care, SSP155DX provides excellent protection against the
hazard of welding fumes. The mask provides protection subject to the concentration of the contaminant
being no more than 10 times the recommended
Occupational Exposure Limit.
1.1. GENERAL SAFETY
WARNING! Put the mask on before entering an area containing airborne contaminants and
wear at all times during exposure in a contaminated atmosphere.
This mask does not supply oxygen. Use only in adequately ventilated areas containing
sufficient oxygen to support life.
The mask does not protect the user against radioactive particles, viruses and enzymes.
Before use, check that the mask will provide the required level of protection in the environment in which
it is to be used.
Inspect the mask to ensure there are no tears or snags and that it is in good condition.
Discard the mask after single use.
DO NOT
use the same mask for more than 8 hours.
DO NOT
use when concentrations of contaminants are unknown or immediately dangerous to health or
life.
DO NOT
alter or modify this mask in any way.
1.2. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Ensure there is another person within sight close enough to come to your aid should a problem arise
when working.
Leave the work area immediately and return to fresh air if breathing becomes difficult, or if
dizziness or other signs of distress occur.
