4. OPERATION
4.1.
Insert the RCD adaptor into a fixed 13A socket and then plug the portable appliance into the RCD outlet socket.
4.2. Testing
4.2.1. Test the RCD before each use.
4.2.2.
With the appliance connected, push the ‘Test’ button. The RCD will automatically cut the electricity supply and the indicator flag will
show ‘off’
4.2.3.
To reconnect the electrical supply, press the ‘reset’ button. The outlet socket will be energised and the indicator flag will show ‘on’ (red).
4.3.
If the RCD disconnects the electrical power at any time, remove the unit from the outlet socket and investigate the apparent fault.
4.4. If the RCD continues to trip, consult a competent electrician.
