1. SAFETY

Familiarise yourself with the applications, limitations and hazards of the ratchet load binder.

Maintain the ratchet load binder in good condition (use an authorised service agent).

Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the

fl

oor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.

DO NOT

operate the ratchet load binder while standing on the load.

DO NOT

operate the ratchet load binder if any parts are missing, as this may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.

DO NOT

use the ratchet load binder for a task it is not designed to perform.

DO NOT

 make any modi

fi

cations to the ratchet load binder.

DO NOT

exceed the rated capacity of the ratchet load binder.

DO NOT

allow untrained persons to operate the ratchet load binder.

DO NOT

use the ratchet load binder when you are tired or under the in

fl

DO NOT

allow untrained persons to operate the ratchet load binder.

WARNING!

operate the handle with caution. Keep your body clear of the path of the handle as it may whip, causing possible

 personal

injury.

Prior to each use inspect the ratchet load binder. Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Unauthorised
parts maybe dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.

Familiarise yourself with the regulations regarding the size and number of chain systems required for securing loads to lorries etc.

Periodically check the tension of the ratchet load binder, re-tighten if required. Tension may decrease due to load settlement during
 transport.

DO NOT

allow the ratchet load binder to bear against an object whilst under tension. This will cause a side load.

Use the ratchet load binder in a well lit location.

WARNING! DO NOT

use an extension (cheaters) bar. An extension bar can overload the ratchet load binder with too much tension,

which may damage the ratchet load binder and may also cause the handle to snap back quickly when the ratchet load binder is
attempted to be released, causing possible personal injury. Further personal injury maybe caused if the extension bar slips or whips
  off the handle.

WARNING!

The warnings, cautions and instructions referred to in the manual cannot cover all possible conditions and

situations that may occur. It must be understood that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this
