4.  operation

4.1.

To avoid “mushrooming”, use a copper or a hard rubber mallet to drive the panel separators, items 8 through 13.

4.2.

Items 8 through

13 generally used for separating sheet metal laminates, bonded or spot welded together. Use the prise bar end of

items 5 through 8 to start the separation if required.

 note!

It is the action of the drift angle, or wedge, which separates the laminates, not the leading straight or curved edge. These

tools are

not

 chisels.

4.3.

Use the panel slapper tools, items 3 through 7 in conjunction with an appropriate dolly (not supplied in this kit). Use to form or

remove 3 dimensional shapes in bodywork and sheet metal products.

5.  Maintenance

5.1.

Keep the tool working surfaces smooth with a linishing cloth or draw file.

5.2.

Clean the tools with a lightly oiled cloth and return to the carry case. Store indoors, away from children.
