A
Step 6: 135 Series (Single-directional) Cables Connecting cable assembly to cylinder
(Figure 6-G, 6-H, and 6-I).
Note: The cable may be installed from only one direction using this cable and
the mounting system.
a.
Before attaching cable to the cylinder, check that the cylinder bracket is located
correctly and firmly mounted and the actuator lever safety pin is inserted.
b.
With the cylinder strapped in its bracket, pass the S-Hook and the outer cable
conduit - cable end completely through the hole in the release bracket.
c.
Insert the S-Hook through the hole in the actuator lever. After making this
connection, move the cable end back and align the groove with the slot in the
release bracket.
d.
Insert the Hairpin Cotter Pin that is provided with cable assembly. The cable
assembly must be locked to the release bracket or accidental discharge can occur.
e.
Using care, remove the factory installed actuator lever safety pin from the cylinder
and store it in the nylon retainer provided on the cylinder neck (Figure 6-I).
f.
The Sea-Fire manual / automatic extinguisher is now fully operational.
CAUTION:
ALWAYS INSTALL SAFETY PIN IN CYLINDER ACTUATOR LEVER [FIG 6-A] WHEN
PERFORMING SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE ON SYSTEM. BE SURE TO REMOVE
SAFETY PIN FROM ACTUATOR LEVER UPON COMPLETION OF SERVICING.
