User Guide for FRS 0001 0032 3A Transformer
(Facia Switched)
Description:
The FRS 0001 0032 3A transformer is a 3 Amp 230Vac switch mode power supply for use with 24Vdc actuators. The
transformer is fitted behind a double pattress plate, which has two touch panel switches for the user interaction. The
product is to be fitted into a compatible double pattress box, with minimum depth of 35mm.
The output polarity from the transformer is dependent on which touch button is pressed. When fitted with ‘THIS WAY UP!”
text at the top of the pattress:

the right-side button produces a positive 24Vdc on the 24VA connection with 0V on the 24VB connection

the left side button produces a positive 24Vdc on the 24VB connection and 0V on the 24VA connection
The transformer contains thermal protection for extended excess loads, which will engage output power limiting and
eventual shutdown when prolonged over temperature conditions occur. Output will be restored once temperature has
recovered to normal operating temperatures.
