2.1.3 Distance from reflective surfaces
Install the sensor system so that it is not affected by reflective surfaces. Failure to do so may
hinder the normal detection, resulting in serious injury.
WARNING
Install the sensor system at distance D or further from highly reflective surfaces such as metallic
walls, floors, ceilings, or workpieces, as shown in Fig 2.4.

2.1.4 Mutual interference prevention
If several safety light curtains operate in close proximity to each other, the sender beams of one system
may interfere with the receiver of another system, as shown in figure 2.5.A. This can disrupt the protective
function of the system. This would mean that the operator is at risk. You must avoid such mounting
scenarios or take appropriate measures, e.g. by reversing the transmission direction of a system (figure 2.5.B)
or by mounting non reflective sight protection walls (figure 2.5.C).
