If you are not going to be using your SCROOSER for a prolonged period of time (for example,
during the winter), remove the battery first. Store it in a dry place at 5–20°C. It should be charged to
50–70% of capacity (three or four LEDs lit up on the battery). If you do not use the battery for over
two months, check the battery charge status and if necessary charge it occasionally.
Clean the battery casing using a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Do not spray the battery with a
pressure washer under any circumstances, as this can cause water to get inside and/or result in
a short circuit. Only charge the battery using the charger supplied with the SCROOSER. Do not use
a charger made by a different manufacturer, even if the charger connector fits your battery.
Do not dispose of the battery in normal household waste. It must be disposed of in conformity with
applicable legal provisions. In accordance with the German Battery Disposal Act (BattG), individuals
purchasing a new battery must take back the old one and dispose of it correctly. Lithium-ion
batteries do not suffer from memory effect and so you can charge them at any time without
impairing the battery capacity. Please also observe any instructions on the label on the battery or
charger.

12 CARE / MAINTENANCE
If you use your SCROOSER as intended, it will have a very long service life and many of the
components will require little or no maintenance. Please follow the following care and maintenance
instructions in order to maintain optimum functionality.
Risk of death by electrocution!
The battery and motor control can be damaged if any water or steam gets in!
The battery and motor control are located under the footboard. This area must be kept dry.
The condition of the scooter must be checked at least once a year. Check that all accessible screws
on the handlebars, wheels, brakes and drive are firmly secured.
The electrical system and battery must be checked for functionality and wear. Any worn-out or
defective parts must be replaced. Generally, this work should be carried out by the retailer you
purchased the SCROOSER from, as they have a repair manual that describes the required steps in
more detail.
Despite the high level of quality, some of the components of your SCROOSER can become worn as
a result of use. The level of care and maintenance and the way you use your SCROOSER (mileage,
riding in rainy weather, dirt, salt, etc.) will determine how quickly and severely parts become worn.
Before carrying out maintenance work or repairs, disconnect the battery!
Do not spray with water or steam.
