Additional Installation Considerations
Additional installation considerations include:
• reactionary steering - if your wheels turn when you turn
the vehicle’s steering wheel, you have reactionary steering.
You must install a Counter-Balance valve (optional accessory
available through Satloc) in between the steering cylinders and
the steering unit in order to block oil from flowing back into
the steering unit from the steering cylinders.
• pressure regulation - if the steering pressure is significantly
less than the pressure delivered from the pump, you may need
to install a Pressure Reducing Valve (optional accessory
available through Satloc).
• oil cooler - if the temperature in the hydraulic oil increases
beyond an appropriate range, an in-line oil cooler should be
installed (optional accessory available through Satloc).
• higher-flow valve cartridges - if flow is insufficient, the
cartridge in the valve block can be replaced with a higher flow
valve (optional accessory available through Satloc).

reducing valve are covered in this section.
Reactionary Steering
It is important to know if your tractor has reactionary steering .
If your tractor has reactionary steering, the steering wheel turns
with the wheels, similar to an ordinary automobile.
