9.4 Cleaning
Use cleaning solvents to clean the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
(not petroleum ether or corrosive liquids;
the use of petroleum ether or corrosive liquids could cause leaks in the supply hose or lift tube). The
suction plates can be cleaned using soap and warm water; do not use cleaning solvents on the
suction sealing lips!
9.5 Operator handles
The two operator handles of the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
both feature a dust filter that filters the
ambient air that is sucked into the valve unit when lowering the lift tube.
If this filter is blocked, the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
can no longer be lowered and it will not be
possible to release the workpiece from the suction pad. A slow lowering of the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
in the “Release” position of the control lever/handle is an indication that the filter is soiled or
blocked.
Filter in the Ergo operator handle
Filter in the Sprint operator handle
The dust filter of the Ergo operator handle is
located on the left-hand side.
The dust filter of the Sprint operator handle is
located at the front.
It is important to clean these dust filters regularly to guarantee the safe function of the vacuum tube
lifter

UMBO
! See section 9.3 (Service table) for information about the precise maintenance interval.
The operator handle filters can be replaced without tools.
