Insertion / removal of a batterypack (6) into the
appliance
Ensure that the appliance is switched off before in-
serting the battery. The insertion of a battery into an
electrical appliance that is switched on can lead to
accidents.
Inserting the rechargeable battery pack (6):
Move the rotation switch (3) into the middle position
(lock) and push the rechargeable battery pack (6) into
the handle until it engages.
Removing the rechargeable battery pack(6):
Press the release button (5) and remove the re
-
chargeable battery pack (6).
Used batteries
If a fully recharged battery lasts for considerably
shorter operating times, the battery is used up and
needs to be replaced. Only use an OEM battery pack
replacement available from our Customer Service.
Switching on and off
Switching on:
To start the appliance, press the ON/OFF switch (4)
and keep it pressed in.
The LED working light (2) lights up when the ON/OFF
switch (4) is depressed lightly or fully. This provides
illumination of the work area in poor lighting condi-
tions.
Switching off:
Release the ON/OFF switch (4) to switch off the appli
-
ance.
Setting/preselecting the rotation speed/tighten-
ing torque
Press the ON/OFF switch (4) lightly for a low speed/
tightening torque.
Increasing the pressure increases the speed/tighten
-
ing torque. The tightening torque depends on the se
-
lected speed/torque preselection and impact duration.
NOTE
However, to tighten lug nuts, the smallest torque set
-
ting must be selected to avoid over tightening.
CAUTION!
The tightening torque actually attained must always
be checked with a torque wrench!
NOTE
The integrated motor brake ensures rapid stoppage.
Changing the direction of rotation
Change the direction of rotation by pressing the rota
-
tion direction switch (3) towards the left or right.
11. Cleaning
Danger!
Always pull out the battery pack before starting any
cleaning work.
Cleaning

Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor
housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it
with compressed air at low pressure.

and frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5 and
30˚C. Store the electrical tool in its original packag

dust and moisture. Store the operating manual with
the electrical tool.

-
quire additional maintenance.
