WARNING!
Never leave the appliance unattended!
CAUTION!
The accessible parts of the appliance can become hot
during operation.
1.
Initial operation: Operate the appliance twice at a low setting without load to
eliminate any smells which can be generated by the conducting wires.
2.
Place one slice of bread in each slot and press the
CONTROL LEVER
downwards
until it locks. The bread is lowered into the slot and the toasting starts. The
CONTROL LEVER
will lock only if the appliance is plugged in. The
CONTROL
LEVER
may not lock if the
HEATING LEVEL CONTROL
is set to the lowest setting.
3.
If smoke occurs before the slices have been ejected, you can stop the toasting
using the
CANCEL
button.
4.
If the slices are not browned sufficiently, you may like to toast it again. In such a
case, decrease the heating level and watch the appliance to prevent the slices
from burning. For subsequent toasting remember to increase the heating level.
Decrease the heating level if the slices become too brown.
5.
Dry or thin slices are browned faster than wet or thick ones so you should
decrease the heating level. When you want to toast two slices, the slices should
be of the same size and consistency.
6.
After toasting the
CONTROL LEVER
springs back to its completely-raised
position. You can remove the slices and the appliance is ready for operation
again.
2.1 Reheat function
If the slices have cooled after toasting you can reheat them.
1.
Set the
HEATING LEVEL CONTROL
to a low setting.
2.
Place the slices in the slots.
3.
Press the
CONTROL LEVER
downwards.
4.
Press the
REHEAT
-
BUTTON
. The reheat period is preset.
5.
Watch the appliance to prevent the slices from burning.
2.2 Defrost function
This function is intended for frozen slices.
1.
Set
THE HEATING LEVEL CONTROL
to the desired setting.
2.
Place the slices in the slots.
3.
Press the
CONTROL LEVER
downwards.
