Plug shell
Check for:
X
ease of movement when plugging
X
for damage or abrasion of plug shell, contacts, plug
insert
X
damage of the guide bead
X
damage on the edge of the locking mechanism
X
the functioning of the strain relief fitting
X
dirt
X
cracks and ruptured patches
X
loose or missing fastening elements
In case of defects:
X
remove existent dirt without
leaving any residue
X
immediately replace dam-
aged parts
Plug ring
Check for:
X
damage to the plug ring
X
tears and porosity on the sealing ring (O-Ring)
X
proper fit of the sealing ring (O-Rings)
In case of defects:
X
immediately replace dam-
aged parts
Pin insert (for plugs)
Check for:
X
visible damage
X
dirt
X
signs of moisture
X
cracks and ruptured patches
X
tears and porosity on the sealing ring (O-Ring)
In case of defects:

Pin contacts
