Connec on overview
1 General safety informa on
Read this document carefully before se ng up the
Schae
ffl
er ProLink device. Keep the document during
the en re service life of the device.
Adhere to the opera ng instruc ons and the technical
data. Otherwise personal injury or damage to property
may occur.
The device must be suitable for the planned applica ons
and for the environmental condi ons without any
restric ons.
Only use the device for its intended purpose (see
Func ons
).
The manufacturer assumes no liability and warranty
for any consequences caused by incorrect use of the
device.
The device must be installed and electrically connected,
set up, operated and maintained by quali
fi
ed and
authorised specialists.
Protect the device units and cables against damage.
2 Func ons
The ProLink CPU module collects data from the vibra on
modules and converts the data into characteris c values
and trends. Via the SmartWeb so ware, this data can be
directly analysed on the device.
Electrosta c discharge
The device contains components that can be damaged or
destroyed by electrosta c discharge. To safely avoid
electrosta c discharge, you must operate the device on a
grounded moun ng rail. When handling the device observe
the required safety precau ons against electrosta c
Contact voltages and ambient condi ons
Mount the device in a control cabinet to protect it from
dangerous contact voltages and ambient condi ons. The
installa on of the control cabinet must be in accordance
with local and na onal regula ons.
3 Installing the device
1. Ensure that the device is disconnected from power.
2. Mount the device ver cally in a control cabinet on a
35 mm DIN moun ng rail.
3. Leave enough space between the device and the top
and bo om of the control cabinet to ensure good
ven la on.
1. Connect the VDC power supply unit to the power supply
connec on of the CPU module.
2. Connect the power supply connec on of the CPU
module to the connec on of the vibra on module.
Please note the maximum cable lenght of 3 meters. See

4 Connec ng the power supply
Electrical connec on
The device must be connected by a quali
fi
ed electrician.
The local and na onal regula ons for the installa on of
electrical devices must be adhered to.
