5 Operation
5.1 Start up the SBS-2510
− Press key 1 (1).

A short beep is play ed.

A welcome message is display ed.

The home screen opens. The SBS-2510 is ready to use.

5.2 Shut dow n the SBS-2510
− Press and hold any of the key s or the nav igation joy stick f or more than 3 s.

A beep is play ed and the screen goes dark.

The control circuits f or the key s and the nav igation joy stick are energized. The rest of the
SBS-2510 is no longer energized.
5.3 Navigate and enter inform ation
5.3.1 Nav igate through menus and confirm settings
1 Press the Menu key .
2 To nav igate to a desired menu, mov e the
nav igation joy stick up or down.
3 To nav igate to a submenu of the selected menu,
mov e the nav igation joy stick to the right.
4 To go back, mov e the nav igation joy stick to the lef t.
Confirm settings
In ev ery menu, where the f unction of key 3 is marked with a green bar, y ou can press the
nav igation joy stick to conf irm the selection.
Shortcut to the method list

The home screen is open.
− Mov e the nav igation joy stick to the lef t.

The Methods window opens.
5.3.2 Enter text and numbers

The key board window is open.
1 Nav igate to the character, number, sy mbol or icon.
2 Press the nav igation joy stick to conf irm the selection of the character, number, s y mbol or icon.
3 To conf irm the entered inf ormation and leav e the key board window, press the OK key .
