Connection
Plug one end of the supplied telephone line cord into the LINE jack. Then plug the other end into
telephone line jack. Next, plug one end of a telephone line cord into the TEL jack of the unit and connect
the other end to your telephone.
Battery Installation
The Talking Caller ID Unit can operate with only three AA batteries.
1. Remove the battery cover from the bottom of the unit.
2. Remove the foam inserts from the battery compartment.
3. Insert three AA batteries by observing the +/- polarity marked in the battery compartment.
4. Replace battery compartment cover.

Using the Talking Caller ID Unit
Once you have installed the batteries and connected the unit properly,
the Talking Caller ID Unit is very easy to use. There are two controls
as shown below. To control the volume, simply turn the VOL knob at
the back of the unit. To mute the Caller ID announcement, press the
MUTE
button on top of the unit.
NOTE:
The unit will announce the number of the caller if the name is not
sent from your service provider. Use of this unit requires that you have
subscribed to a Caller ID service from your local telephone company.

Optional Power Adapter
If your unit includes an AC
power adapter, plug it into
a power outlet and plug the
other end into the DC 6V jack
on the back.
This user’s guide is designed to familiarize you with your Talking Caller ID Unit. We recommend you read this
guide before using the devise.
NOTE: Some of these units ship with an optional AC power adapter. The connection diagram below shows
how to connect the adapter.
