Damping

This function is used to damp down the fire and clear the furnace.

Damping must be carried out be-

fore the disconnected from the power supply.

. Such an order must be kept to ensure that all the

fuel is burnt and the remaining ash is removed.

 WARNING

Do not switch off the CH boiler at the power strip before carrying out the damping process

Once

the damping function is activated, the feeder  stops feeding the  fuel to the furnace and the fan

operates until the flue gas temperature drops below 50

o

C (default setting).

d)

CH boiler operation schedule

Using ST-66P  module the user may  configure CH boiler operation schedule in the main menu of the
controller. It involves selecting days of the week and time of CH boiler operation. Outside these periods
the CH boiler remains damped.

e)

Grate

It  is  another  option  available  for  pellet-fired  CH  boilers.  .  It  is  used  to  set  the  frequency  of    grate
activation, separately for

operation

mode

 and

sustain mode

.

f)

Sustain

Function available when ST-66P module is used, only when zPID control is disabled. It enables the user
to pre-program CH boiler damping to be conducted every time the CH boiler temperature exceeds the
pre-

set temperature value by o 5°C. When the temperature drops by a pre

-defined value, the fire-up

process is initiated again.

g)

Fire-up function

If this function is active, the damping process is initiated when the pre-set room temperatures of the
controlled  devices  have  been  reached.  The  controlled  devices    may  be  e.g.  room  regulator  (if
connected and activated), DHW water tank and buffer (if connected and activated). It means that the
CH boiler is damped in the following situations:

- in summer mode, when the pre-set DHW temperature has been reached;
- in the remaining operation modes (house heating, water tank priority, parallel pumps), when all
controlled (connected) devices have reached their pre-set temperatures.

After  completing  the  damping  process,  the  controller  constantly  monitors  the  temperature  of  the
controlled devices. If any of these values drops to a pre-defined level, the controller starts the fire-up
process again.

h)

Ash removal  (optional)

NOTE

This function is available only for CH boiler offering automatic ash removal function. It is
necessary to activate this function in Service menu.

This function enables the user to set the time and frequency of ash removal procedure.

VIII.

Protections

In  order  to  ensure  safe  and  failure-free  operation,  the  regulator  has  been  equipped  with  a  range  of
safeguards. In case of alarm, a sound signal is activated and the display shows an appropriate message.

In  order  for  the  controller  to  return  to  the  operation  mode,  press

pulser  knob

.  In  the  event  of

  ‘CH

temperature too high’

alarm,

it is necessary to wait until the temperature drops below the alarm value.
