Notice
The PMA35001-Y is equipped with a 25-pin D-SUB
female socket� Only data transfer is allowed: Neither
the PMA35001-Y is supplied with power via this
data output nor should this scale supply the con-
nected device with energy� The external devices are
usually connected via the supplied adapter cable�

Pin assignments:
9-contact interface port
Pin 2: (RXD) Receive data
Pin 3: (TXD) Transmit data
Pin 4: (DTR) Data terminal ready
Pin 5: (GND) Ground
Pin 6: BPI switch
(no connection to the PMA35001-Y)
Pin 8: (CTS) Clear to Send
Installing the Adapter Cable
The adapter cable is required for operation of the
scale with a PC�
If you wish to create your own application software,
Sartorius can supply the required drivers for DOS or
Windows operating systems�

Make sure to observe the safety instructions�

Remove the protective cover from the interface port�
Keep the protective cover in a safe place�

Replace the interface cover when storing or shipping
the scale�
§
Plug in the adapter cable and tighten the retaining
screws�
