BATTERY
The battery is already inserted when delivered and an insulating strip is applied to protect from
premature discharge. In order to operate the scale, you must remove the insulating strip.
The battery compartment is situated on the underside of the device.
1.
Slide the locking tab slightly toward the middle of the scale and remove the battery
compartment lid.
2.
Pull out the insulating strip.
3.
Slide in the battery compartment lid again.
NOTE:
When a battery symbol appears in the upper left-hand corner of the display, the inserted battery
must be replaced with a new one.
WEIGHING GOODS
CAUTION!
Do not overload the scale. Pay attention to the “Technical data”. Only place items for weighing on
the scale.
NOTE:
The scale measures in grams by default. However, you can also set a different unit of measurement,
see below information.
Weighing solid goods
1.
Place the scale on a sturdy, even surface.
2.
Switch the scale on by pressing the ON/OFF/TARE button. After several seconds “0”
appears on the display. The scale is calibrated and you can start to weigh.
3.
If you intend to weigh the goods in a container, place it on the weighing surface now
without any content.
4.
Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again. “0” appears on the display.
5.
Press the MODE button repeatedly if you want to set different unit, until a small bar appears
above weight on the display. The scale is ready.
6.
Place the goods into the container/lay them on the weighing surface. The measured weight
will appear on the display.
Weighing liquid goods
The scale shows the weight of water and milk in milliliters (ml) or fluid ounces. Therefore, you do
not require any additional measuring cups when measuring these liquids.
