12. SERVICE PROCEDURES

Air Conditioner does not Operate

Circuit breaker trips (or fuse blows).

(a) When the circuit breaker is set to ON, it is tripped soon.

• There is a possibility of ground fault.
• Check insulation resistance.

If resistance value is 1 M

Ω

or less, it is a defect of insulation.

(Example)

*Set the circuit breaker to OFF.

Remove power supply cords
from the terminal plate in
the outdoor unit.
• Check insulation resistance
of power supply cords.

Insulation of
outdoor unit
is defective.

Execute

rewiring.

Remove inter-unit power line
from the terminal plate in
the outdoor unit.
• Check insulation resistance
of outdoor unit.

Remove inter-unit power line
from the terminal plate in
the indoor unit.
• Check insulation resistance
of indoor unit.

Inter-unit power lines are
defective.

Insulation of
indoor unit
is defective.

• Check insulation
resistance of
electrical parts
in the outdoor unit.

• Check insulation
resistance of
electrical parts
in the indoor unit.

Execute

rewiring.
