OVERVIEW
1)
DSC is abbreviation for Digital Selective Calling.
2) DSC uses MF / HF bands to send digital disaster and general calls to ships, configure
and send station responses.
3) There are 16 call frequencies, using for the DSC distress, safety and urgency of the MF /
HF bands: 2187.5 / 4207.5 / 6312.0 / 8414.5 / 12577.0 / 16804.5 Khz.
4) Reception of a normal DSC call is possible in DSC mode.
5) Distress, safety, urgency DSC calls are received by the W / K receiver.

1) DSC messages are divided into two major types.
- DISTRESS message
DISTRESS ALERT / DISTRESS RELAY AREA / DISTRESS RELAY INDIVIDUAL
-General messages (Safety, urgency, routine)
