CHAPTER 5. Components Installation

Installing DDR SDRAM SODIMM

DDR SDRAM SODIMM modules are sensitive to Electrostatic Discharge
Damage (ESD), which can occur when electronic cards or components are
handled improperly, resulting in complete or intermittent failures.

To Install DDR SDRAM SODIMM

The memory module for the iBG3026 is located on the system board.

Pull the main module straight out of the slot bay. The SODIMM slot

location is shown under internal option cards if any.

Orient the DDR SDRAM SODIMM polarization notch with the

SODIMM connector on the system board.

Press the SODIMM into the slot making sure it is fully seated (the slot

latches will engage the SODIMM.

Replace the main module.

Verify that the memory is recognized by the system.
