Aim the remote control directly at the HDTV and make certain no objects
block the path.
Secret code error
If you forget the secret code, press the remote control
buttons DISPLAY, , , and when the display asks you to enter the secret
code.
Some or all channels/programs are not available for viewing
Check the Setup>Set Parental Locks menu and cancel the Lock All Channels and
Set Locks by Rating settings.
Understanding On-screen Messages
When using the menu system on your HDTV, you may receive some on-screen
messages that either confirm your menu selections or point out situations you must
resolve before completing a menu task. Below is a list of some on-screen messages
you could receive and possible reasons for receiving them.
Not available in current video mode.
You pressed buttons that are not available for a particular function. For example, if
you are viewing a videocassette and press CH
y
or
z
, you will receive this message
because you cannot change channels on a videocassette.
Channel not available.
You entered an invalid (such as a non-existent) channel number.
No components connected.
You pressed the TV/VIDEO button but you have not connected any external com-
ponents (such as a VCR, DVD player, etc.).
Please disconnect all wires before closing the door.
You pressed the DOOR button to close the front panel door while a component was
connected to the front panel jacks.
This channel is locked by rating. Rating: NC-17
You set a parental lock by rating and the program you tried to watch exceeded the
selected rating limit (in this example, NC-17).
Not available in analog channels.
You attempted to check the signal strength while the HDTV was tuned to an
analog channel.
All channels are locked. Press POWER to turn off TV. Enter secret code
to unlock.
You tried to watch the HDTV while it was set to “Lock All Channels.”
Program guide is not available in current video mode.
You tried to access the Program Guide while in a Video mode.
Program guide is not available in CATV mode.
You tried to access the Program Guide while in CATV mode.
You must set the clock first.
You tried to use the sleep timer or automatic on/off features before setting the
date and time.
